These instructions will walk you through the process of removing the history of all web sites that you have visited.

Google Chrome (Windows)

  1. Begin by opening up Google Chrome and pressing Ctrl+H or selecting "History" from the tools menu.
  2. Click the "Clear browsing data" button.
  3. A dialogue box will appear. Select the amount of history you would like removed. i.e. "the beginning of time", place a check next to "Clear browsing history" and click "Clear browsing data".  

Google Chrome (Mac)

  1. Begin by opening up Google Chrome and pressing command+Y or selecting "History" from the tools menu.
  2. Click the "Clear browsing data" button.
  3. A dialogue box will appear. Select the amount of history you would like removed. i.e. "the beginning of time", place a check next to "Clear browsing history" and click "Clear browsing data".  

Opera (Mac)

  1. Begin by opening up Opera and select "Show All History" from the "History" menu at the top.
  2. Click on the "Clear browsing data" button in the upper right.
  3. A dialogue box will appear. Select the amount of history you would like removed. i.e. "the beginning of time", place a check next to "Clear browsing history" and click "Clear Browsing Data". 

Opera (Windows)

  1. Begin by opening up Opera and pressing Ctrl+H or select "History" from the menu at the top.
  2. Click on the "Clear browsing data" button in the upper right.
  3. A dialogue box will appear. Select the amount of history you would like removed. i.e. "the beginning of time", place a check next to "Clear browsing history" and click "Clear browsing data".

Safari (Mac)

  1. Begin by opening Safari and selecting "Clear History" from the "History" menu at the top.
  2. Click "Clear".

Firefox (Mac)

  1. Begin by opening Firefox and pressing Command+Shift+Delete.
  2. The "Clear All History" dialogue box will now appear, choose a "Time range to clear", be sure that "Browsing & Download History" is checked, and click "Clear Now".

Firefox (Windows)

  1. Begin by opening Firefox and pressing Ctrl+Shift+Delete or selecting "Clear Recent History" from the menu at the top.
  2. The "Clear All History" dialogue box will now appear, choose a "Time range to clear", be sure that "Browsing & Download History" is checked, and click "Clear Now".

Internet Explorer

  1. Begin by opening up Internet Explorer and pressing Ctrl+Shift+Delete and skip to step 3 or "Internet options" from the "Tools" button at the top.
  2. The "Internet Options" dialogue will now appear, click on "Delete" under "Browsing history".
  3. The "Delete Browsing History" dialogue will now appear, place a check next to "History" and click "Delete".
  4. Once finished you will return to the "Internet Options", click "OK" to finish.
