Changing Your Homepage

These detailed instructions will guide you through the process of changing your home page.

Internet Explorer

  1. The "Internet Options" dialogue will now appear, in the section labeled "Home page", enter the web address that you would like to appear every time you open Internet Explorer (example: ptd.net). When done, select "OK".

Firefox (Windows)

  1. Begin by opening up Firefox and select "Options..." from the menu at the top.
  2. The "Options" dialogue will now appear, in the section labeled "Home Page", enter the web address that you would like to appear every time you open Firefox (example: ptd.net). When done, select "OK".

Firefox (Mac)

  1. Begin by opening up Firefox and select "Preferences..." from the "Firefox" menu at the top.
  2. In the section labeled "Home Page", enter the address that you would like to appear every time you open Firefox (example: ptd.net). When complete, click on the close button.

Google Chrome (Windows)

  1. Begin by opening up Google Chrome and select "Settings" from the menu at the top right of the window.
  2. In the section labeled "On startup" select the option to "Open a specific page or set of pages".

     
  3. Select the "Set pages" link and enter the web address that you would like to appear every time you open Google Chrome (example: ptd.net) and click "OK".

Google Chrome (Mac)

  1. Begin by opening up Google Chrome and select "Settings" from the menu at the top right of the window.
  2. In the section labeled "On startup" select the option to "Open a specific page or set of pages".
  3. Select the "Set pages" link and enter the web address that you would like to appear every time you open Google Chrome (example: ptd.net) and click "OK".

Safari (Mac)

  1. Begin by opening up Safari and select "Preferences..." from the "Safari" menu at the top.
  2. In the section labeled "Home page", enter the web address that you would like to appear every time you open Safari (example: ptd.net). When done, click on the close button at the top left to save your settings.

Opera (Windows)

  1. Begin by opening up Opera. Click on the "Opera" menu and select "Settings".
  2. The settings tab will now appear.  In the section labeled "On startup" select the option to "Open a specific page or set of pages".
  3. Select the "Set pages" link and enter the web address that you would like to appear every time you open Opera (example: ptd.net) and click "OK".

Opera (Mac)

  1. Begin by opening up Opera and select "Preferences..." from the "Opera" menu at the top.
  2. The "Preferences" tab will now appear, click on the "General" tab if it is not the current tab. In the section labeled "On startup" select the option to "Open a specific page or set of pages".
  3. Select the "Set pages" link and enter the web address that you would like to appear every time you open Opera (example: ptd.net) and click "OK".
