PenTeleData uses anti-virus technology which will scan all outgoing and incoming e-mail messages through our e-mail servers. If a virus is found in an e-mail message, the message will be deleted and an automated response will be sent to the sender of the infected message. Additionally, the PenTeleData staff will be informed of the e-mail infection and take the appropriate measures. The automated scanning process ONLY scans files in search of a viral infection. It DOES NOT examine e-mail content. PenTeleData respects your privacy and values your business.

There is NO CHARGE for this e-mail scanning. PenTeleData has made a conscious decision to invest additional resources into the products and services we offer. We firmly believe that PenTeleData customers receive the industry's best Internet service.

Although our e-mail scanning can remove most viruses from incoming and outgoing messages, our e-mail scanning does not eliminate the need for you to run your own virus protection on your system. PenTeleData strongly urges all Internet users to run anti-virus software on their computer(s) at all times. Our e-mail scanning should NOT replace the virus protection on your system. You should continue to run virus protection software on your computer(s), and keep it updated regularly. We cannot guarantee that our email scanning will be 100% effective.
